s/o Ugly Babies - Ugly People

I'm curious.

What constitutes an ugly person to you?

What constitutes an  ugly baby to you? Just looks? Bad symmetry in facial features? (I'd like to assume yes because they can't have formed much of a personality in the first few months that you'd be exposed to)

ugly is subjective. its a taste that varies from person to person, i personally dont think i can define it.

  • I agree with Stees. What's handsome/beautiful or ugly to you may not be the same to me, as far as physical features go.

As far as babies go, it's about about likes/dislikes of physical features. A baby can't be an ugly person on the inside. That's a learned thing.

As for as adults go, I feel like bad attitudes and hatefulness make a person ugly, moreso thank physical appearance.

    Agree.

ETA:  Clearly I am a bandwagoner today without any opinions of my own to convey.

Agree! I know some physically beautiful people that are so ugly inside. They just have the worst attitude/personality.
  • I agree with the inside/ outside beauty, but I am specifically drawn to symmetry in determining how "beautiful" someone is on looks alone.

  • Totally agree about the adults being ugly on the inside. As for babies, it's more of a facial symmetry/proportion thing. If their nose is totally devouring the rest of their face, I find that hard to ignore, for example.

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
  • If you're really just talking about physical looks, not people who are "ugly on the inside, people usually strike me as ugly when they have one (or sometimes more, poor things) really distinguished features. Sometimes this is a good thing. Sometimes it's bad, like the baby with the huge eyebrows. Some people have really spaced apart eyes or bad skin or huge ears or weird toothy smiles. It's usually just one big feature like that that makes them "ugly." It's definitely subjective.
