I may DD later, just incase this could somehow find it's way to her...
ILs are coming in town this weekend to celebrate DH's birthday. Guys are golfing on Sat, MIL/SIL planned on shopping (and not Kohl's, Target, but boutiques, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc).
I emailed MIL to say that I got some Bloomingdales coupons in the mail and if she wants them she can have them, just to remind me. Her response: "I sure hope SIL will feel like shopping this weekend. She was in an accident last night and now I'm nervous she won't be up for it anymore".
Maybe it's just the way she worded it, or I'm reading it, but shouldn't she be more concerned about the fact that her daughter was in an accident that was bad enough that her car had to be towed instead of shopping? Especially when she comes at least once a month to shop.

You MIL sounds like a lovely lovely women :-/
I think this is it...and I mean she typically is a very nice and generous woman, but sometimes I really do wonder if all she thinks/cares about is having brand name items and keeping up with trends.

Yeah, I'm guessing she's just one of those people who moves on quickly from things that don't pertain to her. I'm sure (?) she was concerned when she heard about it, but since your SIL is fine, she's moved on to the next thing.
Doesn't make it any less weird/annoying, though.
