I have a question: redecorating/remodeling

I have plans for Skylar's bedroom re-do with the construction and decorating planning and everything, but my DH would like them on paper instead of in my head.  (can't blame him!  lol) But I have so much in mind, I'm just not sure how to put it all on paper.  I have NO artistic ability to be able to draw out plans or anything like that.  What do you suggest??

Keep in mind, I have ideas for the new bathroom, new kitchen, new master bedroom and living room also.  So I have  a LOTTTT of plans in my head that I need to be able to communicate to DH.

  • This is a great website for creating mood boards for a room: http://www.olioboard.com/

  • does he want drawings or steps?

If he is ok without drawings I'd break it down by tasks

    1. Pull out carpet

    2. Sand down floors

    3. Install hardwood flooring

    4. Paint all walls in Benjamin Moore Green

That may not be what you're doing but that's what I meant.

  • I don't have a need for it, but I've seen a couple of blogs that use pininterest.com.  It's an online/facebook type of an idea board.

  • the only problem with that Amy is that my DH is SO anal that if I said something in the wrong order, he would be in a tizzy over it and not be able to go on.  It's the perfectionist in him in that area.  Drives me batty.  lol

So I am looking for more of a visual thing that I can do in color, add notes, etc...

  • Have you ever used Google Sketch?  It lets you draw in 3D and is pretty easy to use (and free).
  • no but I could sure try that!  I'm about at the point of getting a cardboard box and doing a "mockup" of what her room would be.  lol
