My parents have asked if Lucie and I would like to go to the Boston area with them the first 2 weeks of July. My dad has a conference and my sister wants to check out Amherst College.
I can't decide - a) Not sure if we can afford to and b) I'm worried about the humidity. I hate hot weather and the 100 degree heat in CA already bothers me - I'm worried about throwing the humidity into the mix and then also how it would be for Lucie.
Advice?
Re: Boston area ladies
I'm not from Boston, but I say you should do it if the finances work out!
I wouldn't worry too much about the weather. I don't recall Boston being overly humid, and according to weather.com, the average high temp in Boston in July is only 82. Sure, it could be hotter than that while you're there, but it may not be. Boston ladies can correct me if I'm wrong, but I also think that being close to the water there helps to keep the city a little cooler.
It's a beautiful place to visit!!

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
We were there a long time ago in the summer time and it was not bad at all. I do think because it is near the water that it was a little cooler.
You should totally go if finances will allow. It is a beautiful place to visit and so many historical things to do. I loved going to the Old North Church, seeing Paul Revere's house and other things.
You should definitely do it! Boston is awesome. I miss living close to bad.
It can get hot/humid here, I'm not going to lie. But the weather is so fickle here that you never know what type of weather you will get, so you might come and have very mild weather. In the morning it is sunny and 90 and the afternoon it is rainy and 50! Being near the water definitely helps keep it cooler.
I wouldn't not go just because of the weather. There are plenty of things to do indoors if it is that hot and there are tons of beaches to go to.
