Something fun to do Saturday night?

It's DH's birthday we are meeting some friends for dinner at Chino Latino I believe and then the two of us are going to go out. We aren't the type to just go to a bar and listen the load music... any fun things between Minneapolis and south suburbs? Maybe a bar with games or something as DH will want to drink.

Bowling game to mind but that's it.

  • What about a comedy club? We went to the Joke Joint a couple weeks ago and it was really funny. They have a location in Lilydale and by the MOA.

  • ComedySportz is right across the street in Calhoun Square.

  • What about dueling pianos at The Shout House or somewhere like that?  It will be loud, but I always think that is fun.

  • Dink in Uptown has pool and beer pong....not real sure if that would be your thing, but it is what came to mind for games.  Shout House is a place where you listen to music, but they make it almost interactive so it is fun.
  • I haven't been yet, but I've heard great things about the food and atmosphere at Pinstripes in Edina. It's an italian restaurant with bowling and bocce ball inside the building. It's on France Avenue between the Galleria and 494.

  • Bryant-Lake Bowl is pretty close (maybe a mile away?)  Its a small bowling alley (6-8 lanes, I think, it's been awhile since I've been there..) with a bar/restaurant as well.  Famous Daves in Calhoun Square sometimes has more mellow live music, more on the jazz side, that might not be too loud.
