Where is everybody?

Today is a slooooooow day at work, and I am losing my mind..

I went over TK for a second, and it just wasn't doing it for me anymore. Except for seeing everyone's beautiful wedding pictures, which luckily I had been seeing on FB already, the posts were of no interest to me anymore.

Re: Where is everybody?

  • Yea, my wedding was just a week ago and I am already uninterested in a lot of the posts going on over there!

Ditto this, I still give advice when I can and love the prettiness but thats about it.

This...and apparently my advice is irrelevant since the newbs just ignore me.

  • I am busy busy at work.  And working on my trip this weekend in between, heh.

  • LOL too funny... I hear ya.  I love weddings, but I love talking to you ladies over here more!  I still go over there daily. I can't wait to see some of the weddings to come!

I'm here, just busy working this afternoon!

  • BTW, Sarah and Bobbileigh, I probably didn't get a chance to comment on them, but both of your weddings were sooooo beautiful!

Sarah, I am so jealous that some of the other Knotties/Nesties got to attend your wedding, and by the way you looked gorgeous on your big day.

And Bobbileigh, your wedding turned out so beautifully, you have great taste. We originally looked at FTM for our wedding but unfortunately we had too many guests. You also looked gorgeous on your big day as well.

    :)

    So Jealous!

  • I'm here.  And semi-bored.
  • I have a question for y'all... How long did it take to get back to "normal" after the wedding was over?  Is it just me or did it take some of you a little while?  Just curious!

It took me a little while.  Every time I came to work and saw the Melrose, I was happy and sad all at once.  Happy from the memories, sad because it was over.  I missed the planning, and I missed my honeymoon, ALOT.  It's normal I think.

  • I am over weddings too, sadly.
  • 98% of TK posts bore me. I will give advice on a few things here and there. But generally speaking, I'm over wedding talk and I think a lot of us feel the same. Hence why most of us moved over here.

ETA: Amanda-it didn't take me long to get back to feeling "normal" after being in wedding planning mode. I was so glad to have my life back, I took full advantage of it ASAP. Except for that "Yay I'm married feeling :)", I felt normal within a week.

  • Amanda,

I felt that way too.  We'd been so busy for so long, doing all the wedding stuff and then it was all over and not a whole lot left to fill in my time.

    Tiffany,

What could we, as OMHs, possibly have to offer those girls?  Pfft.

  • Thanks ladies.  I'm definitely glad to have my "life" back.  It's so nice to have to plan a wedding anymore!

  • Amanda - My life went back to normal within a week or two.  I felt kind of weird not having so many things to do, but it was definitely nice to have my spending money back! :)
  • Amanda, I find my life is already back to normal for the most part.  Work is insane (in a good way) so I had no choice but to jump back in and hit the ground running.  I am a little sad that the months and months of planning was all rolled up into a few hours but glad to have the actual stress of planning over with. And to second Tiffany, the money being back in the bank is NICE.
