How many would you make?

I'm making cheesecake bites (balls?) for my dad's 50th birthday party and my mom said they're inviting 40-50 people.  How many should I make?

They're not going to be the only dessert.  My uncle is making cream puffs and I think my grandmother might make cookies.

Re: How many would you make?

  • How many balls does one cheesecake make?  I'd probably try for just making one cheesecake's worth.  I love the ones Timpanos has for desert!

I love Timpanos too, that's where I stole the idea from!

I googled it and it looks like a 9 inch cheesecake will make 24-1 1/2 inch balls.

I was thinking of doing 2 flavors (raspberry swirl dipped in white chocolate and plain with cherry pie filling, dipped in dark chocolate)...

Do you think 1 cheesecake of each flavor will be enough?

Probably. I think two per person is a good amount (I'm guessing they're pretty rich).

  • I'd do 3 for each person, so 150 balls worth.

I agree, at least 3 per person. Rich or not, who can resist cheesecake balls? They sound wonderful:)

  • I made 300 mini cheesecakes for a graduation party once.

The three flavors I made were a light lemon flavored cheesecake, a turtle cheesecake (it had chocolate and walnuts and caramel drizzle on top) and one was just pain and I had berries to top that one

It was around 3 per person but there weren't a lot of other desserts.  My husband had to help me and I got paid for the job :) let me know if you need help.  It's not like I live far from you. Kensington isnt all that big
