Husband = Driving me crazy

Sooo, the husband and I are going to DC tomorrow. He's been driving me nuts all day. Like right now, he is on his laptop and says to me, "It's going to take 12 hours to get from the airport to your brother's house." Um, we're flying into Dulles, brother lives in Arlington. Impossible that it would take 12 hours. We could walk the distance in less than 12 hours. He says the bus only leaves at 6 pm from the airport. I hop online, do a quick google search, pull up the bus schedule. Um, it leaves every half hour. I tell him all we have to do is take the bus to a certain stop, get on the blue line, take it to the stop by the my brothers. He looks online a few more minutes, then starts telling me the exact same route I just explained to him, only he takes about 5 times longer to explain it.

He keeps freaking out over the littlest things. I'm going to kill him. :-)

Sorry - I had to vent somewhere.

Re: Husband = Driving me crazy

  • I can sympathize. My H is an extreme planner/worrier and I'm the more non-chalant one. It drives me crazy when he does the overthinking thing!

    Hopefully once you get going on the trip it will all go smoothly and your H can relax! Have a fun time!

  • That's one of the things I hate most about traveling with my H.  He gets really worked up about everything.

    Enjoy DC!!

  • my hubby gets weird with traveling too.....once we hit the airport he high-tails it through the damn place......to get to the gate- whether we are on time or early, doesn't matter.  I mean I'm tall and can move, but his 6/4 a$$ leaves me in the dust.....  Hmm  I'm like, "hunny wait up, I wanna go too!"

  • Haha, thanks for all of your sympathy.

    We made it through just fine. :-) It did not take us 12 hours to get from Dulles to Arlington, thank goodness.

    Kate - that's too funny!! Fast mover, eh?
