Our baby has a heartbeat!!
I had my first visit yesterday with the midwife, and because I told her I don't really keep track of AF, but I had a pretty good idea of when I had it last (but not 100% sure)...she wanted me to come in today for an U/S.
So DH and I went together and it was so completely awesome! We saw the tiny little heart thumping away! And we heard it!! I really didn't think we'd be able to hear it so soon, but it was loud and clear. I think she said it was 114 bpm and was right on track. So so awesome!!
Oh, also I am a week behind what I thought I was. I thought I was 7 weeks today, when I'm actually 6 weeks 1 day as of today. Our due date is December 20th! We could have a Christmas baby!

Congratulations on your u/s- that first chance to see and hear the heartbeat is pretty incredible! Enjoy your news and hopefully the reality has hit DH and you both can enjoy the excitement together!

hahaha yeah I think he's finally come around. He was really excited and happy after the U/S.
They had me take a urine test yesterday and when the appointment was over and noone said anything about it, DH made a point of tracking down the nurse and asking her the results of it! She was like "yup you're going to be a dad" LOL
Congratulations!!
Don't listen to anyone who tells you it's terrible to have a December baby. My due date was 12/21 last year and I had my daughter on the 18th. Just make sure you get your snow tires on and keep your driveway shoveled.
