Aquarium in Tarpon

Has anyone been? I saw it yesterday while I was googling things to do in Tarpon Springs.

I'm sure it's not a big, fancy thing..admission is $7..  There is a shark feeding thing. OMG!

Is it super lame?

  • I've been a couple times and although it is super small there is much to see.  It's pretty impressive for being small.  I loved the shark feeding!  You stick shrimp parts onto a long stick and stick them down into a pool of nurse sharks and they swim up and "pop" it off the stick.  It's a bit startling how fast they do it.  But then again I'm lame and enjoy that kind of stuff, haha.

Oh cool! That sounds like what we did when we fed the sharks @ the Fla Aquarium!! I'm definitely planning a trip!

  • I'm pretty sure we went there once and I remember that you could hold or pet a baby alligator. (I hope I'm not making that up in my head!) We were out walking around the area and decided to stop in just for a half hour or so, and we enjoyed it.
