Health & Fitness Wednesday

OK so i've really been sucking w/ my diet/exercise plan lately. But i've decided once and for all that I want to be a healthy person. I'm starting to track my Weight Watchers points again (once i find my books tonight, didnt have a chance last night to look for them) and I'm really going to do it. It's going to be SOOOOO hard and not fun at all but the end result will be a healthy me. Which is the most important thing.

Re: Health & Fitness Wednesday

  • I've been sucking since friday. yestday I was non stop eating. I even ate a whole bag of cotton candy. Luckily the rest of our meals are healthy and mainly vegetables. I just don't want to move because of the headaches again. I think i'd do a lot better if I had a work out buddy.

    Fingers crossed!

  • I really should start tracking my calories. I've been good with working out (only ran twice last week - but we were out of town) and am up to 28 minutes of straight running. I haven't run that long outside yet, my two outside runs I only had time for 20 minutes but that's still the longest I've ever run outside. The 5k is next weekend which is super scary. Especially considering I only ran about 2.4 miles in 28 minutes the other day. I'm slow but hoping to be able to complete the 5k between 35-40 minutes (preferably closer to 35).

  • I've been so bad. We've had SO MUCH rain here, that my running regiment has become pretty non existent. I'm down to maybe once a week. Plus, I am just not a runner. I was struggling a little bit with it.

  • I'm doing great!

I started week 5, of the Hal Higdon 1/2 marathon training program.  I ran 5 miles on Sunday, my longest run to date.

I have never been able to stay motivated to stick with a training schedule before.  I have found by having a goal (Manitoba 1/2 marathon), and by telling people that I am doing has kept me accountable.

I am also on week 8 of a vegan lifestyle.  I have never felt hungry, and have lost 10 lbs.  I find I have to track my calories to make sure I am eating enough of them, rather than too much.
