:::shakes fists at storms:::
Besides the obvious nastiness of the coming wind & storms (property damage, flooding, ppl getting hurt/killed, etc.) which is very serious, my tree peony just bloomed and all the wind will destroy the petals. This seems to happen every year; as soon as they bloom, we get a big storm. Like the next day.
What good are these April showers if they destroy the flowers, eh?
Re: :::shakes fists at storms:::
Ditto. We planted a jane magnolia last year and it had just started to bloom last weekend and the wind and rain took away all my blooms
(Though I must say that all of this rain has been great for the grass seed that I planted a couple of weeks ago...)
word.
between the pollen and the oak bloom, I'm ready to just live in my shower for the next couple of weeks.
I can't believe how much this rain has helped our grass seed, too! Our back yard looks brand new, it's awesome!
But my flowers look like crap.
