Gift for SIL -- Graduating Teaching Program

Okay, smart and creative ladies! You're always so good with this....

My SIL (43 years old) went back to school to become a teacher.  She's been actively teaching during the program for the last year, and she graduates her program in May. I'll be seeing her Mid-May.

She teaches high school sciences (mainly anatomy, physiology, medical careers, etc).

Her sister and I would like to get her a nice gift for graduating, and though we could do a spa GC or something, I wondered if any of you had a good idea for what a teacher might appreciate, as a teaching-lifestyle-related gift?

Money's probably anywhere up to $100.

Thanks for any ideas!

Re: Gift for SIL -- Graduating Teaching Program

  • Spa gift cards are always at the top of my list. Or another idea, we got my sister a Kindle when she got her masters degree.
  • Well being a teacher myself I would love any spa GC. Maybe something for a massage that she could use after the beginning of the school year. The first few days back at the start of school can be exhausting and my back/legs/feet usually hurt since I haven't been on them as much during summer...and I even teach half days so someone who hadn't taught all summer it would be pretty bad. Hello run on sentence!

  • I also say spa gc, b/c who doesn't like being pampered!

Also maybe a gc to like Office Depot/Staples, so she can get some fun stuff for her classroom?
