POLL: What brought you to the nest?
Nikosmom's post got me thinking about this.
Did you come to the nest because you "graduated" from the knot or for some other reason?
Do you frequent any other message boards or is this the only one?

theknot pushed me over when it created the nest. i am here that long
for fear of cyber stalking - yeah, margie - in case this is a rouse so you can stalk - haha! - i will not divulge if you'd find me anywhere else on the interwebs - lol!
i graduated from the knot too. Before the Knot/Nest I didnt post on any msg boards.
My anniversary board was very active and there were a chunk of us that we remained and we didnt like the openness of the Nest so we actually created our own private password protected board.

Knot Graduate here too. While I was pregnant I was on the Bump a lot but, I'm never there anymore.
I am on a scrapbooking message board occasionally but, that's all.

after i got married i was on some board in the knot for newlyweds and then "graduated" to the nest.
I am so lucky to have met such wonderful ladies on both sites. I think i only met one or two wackadoos in the last 9 years. (i was a knottie when i was planning wedding to ex fi.)
I never posted on the knot... I really wasn't into the whole wedding planning thing. What made me start posting on here was being bored at work and needing the time to go by quickly! I lived in the City so I tried to be a part of the NYC nesties and just didn't feel like I connected so I came over here because I knew eventually we'd be moving back to the HV and I felt more comfortable here!
I'll post randomly on other boards on the nest (book, cooking, entertainment, travel) but definitely not a regular anywhere else or any other message boards that are not a part of the nest.

I used to be on the local knot boards where I lived and where I was planning my wedding, but hadn't been on in years until I moved up here. I think the Nest was just starting up around the time of my wedding, but never really checked it out. When we got here to NY, I had two friends who live down in the city, but didn't know a single other person around here. So I checked out the nest to see if anyone was actually on it, initially to ask for recommendations for doctors/dentists, etc. I think there was a gtg being planned at the time I started posting, so I decided to go and check it out. After getting to know some of you gals, I was hooked. And here I am, two and a half years later. You're stuck with me.
Do you frequent any other message boards or is this the only one?
I am pretty monogamous. I posted a little bit on the Bump pregnancy loss board after the m/c last fall, but not much anymore.

Graduated from the Knot!
I posted on the bump while I was PG but not so much anymore. I also post on The Entertainment board. I don't participate on any other website message boards.
I haven't been on here in FOR-EV .. but I graduated from The Knot. But when I was on the Knot, I was on the CT board. But this is such a great group -- and I hope to make a GTG one day !
The CT nesties have a spin off board, and I frequent that and I used to be on The Bump when I was PG and M was an infant.
Moved up from TK. Wasn't really into the local boards on the TK. Weird...since I would've met a lot of you sooner. LOL I had a different S/N there too.
I wander into the book board and What's cooking here.
However, having said that....I'm a message board wh0re. I am part of a lot of them. I even ran a few for a time.

I graduated from the knot - i was mostly on the HV Knot page and my wedding month club.
I moved over here when it was the slowest of slow and have seen it pick up its pace , nicely!
I was a heavy duty bump-er through my pregnancy w/Connor & up through 12-24 mos when things went bonkers over there,and I took a break. I've started popping on and off the bump boards occassionally again, but not frequently.
I moved over here from the bump, actually. I started over there on Military Newlyweds looking for information on what K was able to get being a child of a Marine. I haven't had a reason to go on the knot....
This is the page I frequent the most. I usually lurk on what's cooking, working moms, and toddlers 12-24, but rarely post.

I graduated from TK, but didnt know too many HV knotties since I was a big CT knottie since I got married there.
Im also very active on a CT knottie private spinoff board and one I made with a handful of knotties who KIT through the years. I also lurk on bump boards here and there.
