Talents you wish you had?
Besides wishing I could add 14 hours a day, I wish I could sing. Watching Idol, last night's premiere of the Voice and other reality shows...I wish I could belt out a tune and sound great. I love music and get the goose bumps often when I hear amazing melodies :-)
What talents do you wish you had??
Re: Talents you wish you had?
I wish I could dance.
I have zero rhythm for any kind of movement, singing, or playing a instrument.
I wish I could predict the stock market booms and busts. LOL
Other than that, I wish I could mentally speed up my metabolism. And I wish I could be a shape-shifter. I'd wish I could fly, but I get airsick, so maybe that'd be a wasted wish...
I pretend I can sing
after the Stitch 'n *** group I attended tonight, I really wish I had a more natural knitting talent...and I'd love to be able to sew and also turn my artsy/creative cake ideas into reality...the transfer from imagination to actual cake tends to lose something in translation...I can bake a tasty cake, but it never looks as good as I hope
ETA: whoops...my first Nest curse word...
I also wish that I could sing, I sang in audition groups all throughout my school career so I'm not awful but I wouldn't "wow" anyone either.
I still wish that I had learned to play piano when I was younger, I have tried to pick it up now and its been an ultimate FAIL.
See, now I have rhythm, an ok voice, and musical inclination.
But I would be SO happy to have an ounce of athletisism (sp?) or even just some sport-like coordination. It's embarrassing how often I miss the trashcan 2 feet from me when I try to throw stuff in. I run like a weirdo, and my natural inclination to incoming sporting equipment is to dodge and duck. It would be nice to be at least a little more suited to stuff like that- especially the trash in the barrel part, sheesh!
haha...I actually used to play the saxophone...I was so embarrassed to be a girl saxophone player growing up...I wanted something more feminine, like the clarinet or the flute...of course, the high school band scene left little room for the term "sexophone"...the poor thing is now sitting in my parents' house, gathering dust
