Doing anything for the Royal Wedding Friday morning?
I have eleven - yes ELEVEN girls (women) coming over at 10pm tonight to spend the night so we can wake up right at 3am to watch the wedding festivities together. I am so excited to watch the wedding and even more excited to see Kate's dress. When I ordered our cakes and cookies from Johnnie's, they said that they have been slammed with orders for Royal Wedding parties.
Re: Doing anything for the Royal Wedding Friday morning?
I believe it! A couple of my other friends are going to their own watch parties as well - so fun! And Friday is such a good day to take off from work or call in sick... at least for me it is!
Stripes - you are definitely the hostess with the mostess!
Yes, you say that but wait until you see what a wreck my house is. Hopefully the massive amount of dog and cat hair won't send anyone over the edge.
And did I mention I came back from Denver with ear infections in both ears and a sinus infection? This week has been fun times, let me tell you.
I remember watching Princess Diana and Prince Charles getting married - my parents woke me up and I watched it while cuddling in bed with them. That is probably my first childhood memory. I have been obsessed with the British and French monarchies (past and present) ever since!
I'll trade my wreck of a house for yours. At least it will be a change of scenery!
You might have to pee outside, are you okay with that? Our bathroom is a mess and the other one will clearly not be done given we have no tile, no toilet, no vanity, no sinks......bastards. And you know the third bathroom is creepy when I suggest my guests pee outside!
I haven't had much interest in the Royal Wedding stuff, so I'm skipping it. I'm sure I'll see lots of coverage of it online and on TV, so I'll just get caught up using those avenues.
Your party, however, sounds fabulous.
What a great memory! Have you seen 'The King's Speech,' btw? Great, great movie, I thought.
I'll try to remember to go before I leave my house tonight! This is why we could use a 7-11 next door to you on the corner lot!
I'm bringing my camera so I can snap a few memories of our group...not to mention all the drinks and food items you've gone to the trouble of ordering!
I'm not doing anything. I told H last night that I was thinking about taking off Friday to watch the wedding and he was like yea, right!
Stupid question - What time does the wedding actually start and what channel? I may need to record.
Not a stupid question - coverage starts at 3am - and it will be on every tv channel but for sure E. The wedding starts at 5am but the stuff before it is the best stuff (the procession, seeing Kate's dress, etc etc).
Thanks.
