Getting mildew off fabric patio seats?

Hi ladies :) Hoping someone can help me with the task of getting my patio chairs to look clean again! They were stored in my parents' damp garage for a couple months and we just got them back now that we have a place to use them only to discover they look nasty. I've gotten most of the crud off enough to where we can sit on them and not end up with debris on our rears, but they still look bad. Any kind of special product or home concoction anyone would recommend to use on mildew?

  • The best stuff Ive ever found is Carbona Patio Furniture cleaner. It works like magic. I got mine at Big Lots, but you can also order it online from several different sources.
  • Thank you! I'll try that

  • If that doesn't work, try the regular scrubbing bubbles spray, that's what my mom's handyman used to get mildew off her boat seats when they were wet/covered all winter.
  • We always used the bathroom sprays for mildew, like Tilex.  Spray it on, let it sit for a little bit, scrub with a brush, and the chair will be as good as new.
