Gas Prices

Watch out! Gas prices could be jumping in Detroit! Warn your friends. Forward this email.
Projected Price
$4.19-$4.25
Watch out, Buddies! Prices will increase starting this morning to $4.19-$4.25. Odds of this hike are 95%. Wholesale prices climbed yesterday after a Department of Energy report showed another decline in gasoline supplies. Fill up if you like to save money!

Thanks,

The Gasbuddy Team

Thanks for the info. I have several customers that are fuel haulers, they all explain gas increases differently Annoying as he!!

  • I purposely took my car today (I have been driving H's to save my miles), so that we would have enough gas to get us to the airport tomorrow (and home when we get back) and not have to pay the ridiculous prices until AFTER vacay.

  • Unfortunately I drive Tahoe and gas for me lately has been running $70-80 depending on the price. I know it's going to cost me more today than it has in a long time. I've been trying to limit my driving lately and make as many stops in one day instead of several days. If we could afford another bill right now, I'd get a car/suv with better gas mileage.
  • It just cost me nearly $50 to fill up my little Saturn.  Sickening.  I can't imagine it getting worse.

  • Meijer posted on their FB they were raising prices later this afternoon.

Costco was 3.85 still when I filled up! I don't look forward to the next time i need gas

  • It cost me $58 to fill up. DH has a Diesel truck and it cost him $120 the other day to fill up.  I'm still trying to figure out why the prices are up when the price per barrel is down...

Also try to figure out why they're recording "record breaking profits" this year.

There isn't much the oil companies could do about their profits.  The stock traders are the one's controlling the price oil.  Unfortunately, there's not much anyone can do.  Even if we were to open up drilling here, the saudi's and others would simply lower their output to match what we extracted.

Between potential civil wars in the middle east and the booming chinese economy, we're pretty much screwed.

Yup dh and I will be in Sedans forever, it would be really hard for me to go bigger with this stuff going on even with a kid  or kids coming (or maybe because of LOL).

  • This sucks!!!! It is so difficult to walk in my neighborhood to the store or park or school, etc. All are at least 1.5+ miles away, and there are no sidewalks on the busy roads that border my subdivision. I want to be able to drive to Ann Arbor Hands-on Museum/Kensington/Metro Beach/the zoo a couple times a week this summer to keep DD entertained, but I don't know if we can with gas over $4/gal. Even in a Honda Accord. grrrrr!

  • I'm guessing if the price of gas keeps going up it's going to cause another economic downfall.  If we have to spend our money on gas to get to & from work we're going to cut back on spending elsewhere which in turns effects everyone.

    Stupid stupid stupid!

  • ug!  Luckily I filled up at the Speedway by church last night for $3.97.  Since I have the Rewards card (it's free), I've almost got enough points to get a $200 gas gift card....that will be nice, even if it's gone after 4 or 5 fill ups...

so glad we got our tickets to Florida for the end of May when we did, it was $179 pp & that's with taxes, so that was a great deal..i can't imagine what the price is now....

  • I got an e mail saying not to fill up tomorrow and let the middle east take a hit for a day.  If I had things my way, I'd ride my bike to work every day, and only have to fill up a couple times a month.  Unfortunately 6 mile bike ride = sweaty & gross.

  • Luckily I only fill my car up maybe once a month, but DH's truck is another story.  He filled up the other day and it was $120.  We have been doing all our grocery shopping at Kroger so that he can use the points towards gas, he usually waits until I have enough for him to get 30 cents off per gallon.
