Royal Wedding, anyone?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's criminally uncool.  I'm okay w/that.  I'm actually not much of an anglophile but I do love an "Event" and, of course, weddings!  What about you? [Poll]

this special snowflake will dvr and start watching around 5 am.  so the day's events will still be technically happening, but i'll be behind.

  • i would watch it but I have to work at 3am tomorrow sooo there goes that. Although I did have an order for a "wedding cake" today for someone who was having a royal wedding party and wanted a wedding cake to eat in celebration. kinda weird but whatever. people should have their fun!

  • I'm for sure going to DVR it but we'll see how much of it I get through.  I'm just debating whether I should have my mom over to watch it w/me.  I think she got up early to watch Charles & Diana get married and has mentioned that she'll probably watch this one as well.

Dang, I wish I'd thought about ordering a wedding cake for the event!  Cause, you know, any excuse to eat cake!  ;)

  • Not really sure yet! I didn't have any interest in watching it until this week! I think might DVR it and watch this weekend.
  • I'm into it, and will watch...but I have to say I'm highly annoyed that over 200 people are dead in the Southeast and all the freaking news cared about this morning is how Kate Middleton will wear her hair.

I mean, I am excited to see her hair too...but you know, dead Americans killed by a natural disaster just a few hours ago?  Maybe that could have been a topic of newsworthy concern this morning, GMA. Confused

what to do, what to do....

  • I just want to see her dress. That is all.

  • We actually did this poll about a week ago and I looked up the event to DVR it. It's 4 hours long! I'm not going to watch all that. I'll be doing a lot of fast forwarding.
  • The only things I actually care about are her dress & the wedding party's, and if Harry gets smashed at the reception. I would buy the magazine before I watch it on TV, but thats just because I dont watch much TV...
  • I voted other because we don't have any DVR. So I might go to sleep first, wake up early (if I can?) to watch a little bit, and go back to sleep. I grew up following the British royal family news, as well the Monaco and Spain royal family's, so I'm quite excited for this event. If I can't wake up that early, I'll just watch the coverage later online.
  • I'll probably look at pictures online over the weekend, but I don't care enough to buy magazines or watch it on TV. Ditto Stef that there are other things going on in the world that are a little more deserving of our attention...

    word.

Or how about the issue with Obama's birth certificate because THAT IS IMPORTANT

or maybe how there is turmoil in the middle east or

that gas prices are going up on a daily basis.

No, no the Royal Wedding is all we can talk about.

  • If I can stay awake, I'll watch. I'll even wear a tiara while I do so. :) I don't have DVR so that's not an option.

  • If we had cable I'd probably DVR it and then watch it. But we don't have cable, so I'm going to rely on the internet for pictures and clips.
  • I will DVR it and watch it sometime over the weekend.  If Netflix sends me Black Swan and Due Date I'll watch those first.  I also want to see what her dress will look like.

  • Try listening/watching a real news show, people. GMA is fluff so don't be surprised that's what they care about.

If I had a dvr I would dvr it. I'll probably watch Access Hollywood, maybe buy the latest People magazine.

I think there have been so many natural disasters that people are starting to be inured to it, like desensitized or something.
