1st the vent: I haven't had a voice for 3 days now. When I try to talk all that comes out is silence. It's getting incredibly frustrating. It's hard to interact with my LO and DH seems to keep forgetting that I can't talk. He'll ask a question and walk away so he can't see me mouth the words in response. I've had to start writing things down. Also he decided that this "down time" is the perfect opportunity for me to clean the house, cook baby food, and go through the boxes of books downstairs and figure out what to get rid of. .... all the dust from the old books is NOT helping (in fact making coughing worse) and general housework does NOT equal resting.
Now the AW: The silver lining in being home sick for the past 2 days in that I was able to see DD crawl. She's been doing this crazy inch worm crawly thing for ages and is cruising from couch to chair/ pushing her own stroller. We really were starting to think that she was going to walk before she "crawled" but now it has become clear that she is capable of crawling and merely choosing not to. She must really enjoy dragging herself around on her tummy.
Re: a voiceless vent and an aw
Aww, go BabyKiwi, go! That's awesome that you were there to see it
I've never lost my voice completely before, though I've had plenty of bouts with vocal issues. I can understand your pain, though I don't know why your DH is being a buttface about it (I hope that made you laugh, I was trying to be funny, not mean
).
Yay! Way to go, BabyKiwi! Literally!
Like Rock, I have never actually had no voice. But it sounds very frustrating.
Yay for babyKiwi! That is so awesome.
I am sorry about your voice. I hope you get it back soon!
You poor thing!
That is amazing about babyKiwi though!
