carpet cleaning
anyone have a good recommendation?? nothing too expensive as our carpet isn't that great and will probably be replaced within a year or so.

This may sound crazy but if you have a lot of carpet, I'd buy one of the Bissell Pro-heat cleaners like this one
My mom has one and it is awesome. Kohls has them on sale right now for $149.99 and I'm sure there are at least some 15% off coupons out there somewhere. It's so easy to use and does a great job.
Ditto! We bought the 2xProHeat and I love it! You can also use it for tile, linoleum and hardwoods. It was so worth the money.

in case anyone wants to know, it's also TRES awesome at getting water out of carpet if your toilet slowly runs over and you don't know it until a few hours later
