I'm not sure neurotic is the word I was looking for-- but anyway, I went to my asthma doctor today because my inhalers weren't working for me. The air was so thick today and I was nervous about getting enough oxygen for the baby.
I updated my parents afterwards and both independently asked if I made sure the doctor knew I was pregnant... ummm, I'm pretty sure I'm 30... and know what information is important for the doctors to know?! And besides that, I've been pregnant for 5 months now... I think my first mistake was to tell them I was having trouble -- I told them since DH is pretty unreachable in AZ in case I needed someone ![]()
Re: Parents are overly neurotic
They just love you.
Like telling you to 'be good' when you went to a friend's house when you were 10 or telling you to 'watch out for deer' when leaving their house to drive down the interstate a night. You are always good and why wouldn't you watch for deer, but it makes them feel better.
My parents are exactly like this too. They are extremely overly involved with my brother's life. Very very overbearing, overprotective, etc. It's ridiculous. Just one of many examples I could give...my mother will go to my brother and SIL's house and tell my brother he needs to do dishes or vacuum, etc. uhhhh....not your house!
lol
hehe...no matter how old you are, you are always your parents' babies. they can't help being overly-protective just like we can't help having the same over-reactions that we had as teenagers.
