Ellie fell asleep downstairs in the PNP early, so at 11pm MH and I fell asleep on the sofa expecting her to wake up around 2 or 2:30 to eat as usual. (MH gives her a bottle and I pump -- sounds funny for us both to get up, I know, but it allows them bonding time and I pump more than she eats at a sitting.) She squawked around 2am, making MH think she was about to wake up, so he made/warmed a bottle -- but nope, she kept sleeping and we fell back to sleep. At 4:40 the sound of Matt Lauer on the TV woke me up (thank goodness for Tivo!)
So....I guess Ellie choose this as her first time to sleep through the night! Woo hoo!!!
No sense in going back to bed now; Owen will be up at 6am. Let's watch a wedding!
Re: Who's up and watching?
She's still sleeping! She's squawked once or twice, but only because she managed to get her pacifier behind her neck (which seems really uncomfortable). My boobs are about ready to burst and I also may have to ditch this bottle that MH made (which kills me) -- I was going to give it to her and then pump.
Of course, Owen is expected to wake up any moment now...maybe he'll sleep in too! That's probably too much to hope for....
I'm up working overtime. I have the TV set to NBC and a certain volume so I wont wake up Taylor with it. No sense in changing it around
I didn't realize how bald William is! did you see the shot of that?? I think this is a ton of pomp and circumstance. Too much money spent....you know what I could do with that??
The thing is, so much of this is being done because it's expected or required...I almost feel bad for them. Do you think this would've been the wedding of their choosing if they didn't have so many expectations? I'm guessing they would've wanted more of an intimate party with friends, and maybe outside (given the trees in the church).
At least the royal family is paying for it (with $1M from Kate's family).
Simon and Dewey woke me up just in time... I wasn't planning on it but I've been watching inbetween getting ready for work and getting my things together for the weekend.
Just watched some videos of it, beautiful!! I do think they would have liked to have a different wedding, but I'm sure they both knew this was how it had to be. I do feel bad that they had to be so proper when I'm sure they just wanted to be able to give each other a big ol' hug and kiss. Two of my fav pics so far(Sorry if they are huge):
I actually loved watching the videos even though I've said I don't care about it!
I woke up at 3 and was so tempted to start watching - I turned on the TV and watched for a few minutes and heard that the actual wedding wouldn't come on until 5 and was like "nope!" and went back to sleep until Lily woke up at 6. I'm also thankful for my DVR, although it cut it off and I didn't get to see them leave the church or the first kiss. grrrrr....luckily TLC is re-airing it so I'm dvring so I can watch that part.
I absolutely loved her dress! I am so happy she wore lace! I loved her veil too. She looked perfect.
