Did anyone consign their wedding dress?

If so, where did you go and how did it work? I'm curious about this Smile

TIA!

Re: Did anyone consign their wedding dress?

  • I did this with my first wedding dress (the wedding that didn't happen). I took it to Chaz in Silverton (http://chazbridal.com/). This was about 8 years ago, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the timeline, but I think they sold the dress within a couple of months (it had never been worn/altered, which might have been a plus). I got about $200 for it (it was maybe $600 at David's originally).

  • I did it really simple. I got it cleaned at Springdale Cleaners. Then took it to Snooty Fox in Mariemont. The looked over the dress asked me a few questions and gave me a sheet to read. I gave them my dress and veil, called back in 3 months and the dress sold. I walked away with $104 overall. I was not expecting alot because it was just going to take up space in my closet so to me it was a win. HTH
