So, I liked your suggestion of duck races for the career fair on Monday. Today we were trying out our creation. We have these two capped off gutters filled half way with water; at the career fair we plan to scoop the water into a bucket, but since that takes a while, we decided today we could just walk it outside.
A co-worker is standing to the side of the gutter in the front and I am directly behind it. We lift the gutter, we lift it fairly level but enough to start a wave, the wave hits the front cap and moves back, hits the back cap and starts to gain momentum. The water then splashes over the edge my co-worker has (she is to the side so she is fine)? it comes back towards me and I can see it is going to do the same thing. I tried to back-up but I am against the wall so I can?t move without dropping the whole thing. Drat?from right below my boobs down to my knees I am all wet and I blame you Romarie J
Re: Romarie you made me wet?.literally :)
Teehee...it was supposed to be a ?gutter? title.
We did have fun trying it out. Plus, after half of it dumped all over our office floor and myself we figured, there was not enough water left we can get it outside now. We were very close to the door and the wave started to get big again; at this point we are in a shared area with other offices. It splashed over a little, we saw that it was going to be really big the next time it hit. We both just started running, no words needed. We got to the sidewalk just in time for most of the remaining water to dump on the hood of my bosses car J Everyone was laughing at us when we came back in.
Someone had the bright idea to move all of the student binders a co-worker had been making for the last week before we started moving the gutters....which was good because alot of the water landed right where they had been sitting. Plus, I am pretty sure had it splashed two inchs higher on me my patterned bra would have been showing till the water dried. No big harm done.
