For all the girls on here whether on the board or through FB that wrote to me: I love you guys; thank you for your kind words when I was going through PPD![]()
I still have my moments but I feel so much better and am so much more at ease being a Mom. It's ironic because I'm an early childhood major and I worked in daycares even nannied newborns but was not prepared at all for my own child emotionally. I've wanted a baby forever so it was so odd to have it be so painful and sad at first.
Moms To Be you can take this or leave this but here is some advice I wish I was told:
Don't beat yourself up if you wanted to BF and it doesn't work for you. You are only human and driving yourself nuts will not help you or your baby.
SLEEP: Yes you have stuff to clean, thank you cards to write, abs to tighten but you will feel like a new person even if it's just a 15 minute cat nap.
Stop comparing yourself to others. Every baby is different and everyone's body works differently. Love your body and your baby for the unique creations that you both are...
Re: Thank you and a few words:)
You're a rock star, Jessica.
Thank you for the advice -- I have no doubt I'll need to keep your words in mind in the extremely near future.
