How can I get it out of my carpet? My son somehow projectile threw the cup across the room. I have orange all over my beige carpets :-(. I used my bissell. It made it fainter, but I still have orange everywhere.

Re: Easter egg dye
hydrogen peroxide?
*Disclaimer - I have never used hydrogen peroxide on carpet or hardwood stains, but I have heard it recommended on such channels as HGTV.
Is this a joke? It's basically water soluble. Really hot water should be all you need to take out the stain.
No this isn't a joke. This sh*t staind my beige carpets. Do you really think I'd take the time to ask such a dumb question? I tried hot water, I tried hot water and soap. I tried my carpet shampooer. None of it worked. I grabbed a towel and dabbed it all up as much as I could before I added more water or anything to it. Sure, it faded a tad, but it's bright orange on my beige carpets. How about you go take some easter egg dye and throw it on your carpet and let me know how you get it out? Sound like a plan?
I tried hydrogen peroxide, it helped more, but it's still orange. :-( I will continue with the peroxide and leave it there longer perhaps.

Sorry - It surprises me a lot because I've dunked Easter eggs in hot water before and the dye comes right off. It must be a different reaction with the synthetic fibers. I assume you tried boiling water and applying it to the stain as well?
Failing that, I would look for a phone number on the box of dye and see if their customer service has any suggestions.
Different materials do accept dyes differently.
I honestly think your carpet is going to be stained permanently, because that's what dyes do.
