We just got back from the ER. Dom was up sick all night with croup. Then I guess this morning after I left for work, his ears started draining (he has tubes), and his breathing got worse. My parents took him to the pedi for me, since this is my first week back to work, and I have zero time off to use, and the pedi gave him 3 breathing treatments in the office, which didn't help. His oxygen sats were below 90, so she sent him to the ER. I met my parents at the ER with Dom. The Dr said he has pneumonia, and a double ear infection. This combined with his asthma/reactive airway is making this a huge problem for my little guy. We have a bunch of meds for him and have to see the pedi tomorrow morning 1st thing, if we don't end up back at Hasbro tonight. Its been a tough couple days, so if you have any good thoughts to spare, please send them Domenic's way. Its so hard to see your child not being able to breathe :-(
Re: My poor Domenic!
Your poor little guy. I hope the meds take affect soon and he has a speedy recovery.
I have been there and I know exactly how you feel. Terrifying
Even though Nolan was admitted for over 24 hours and I hated that part, the docs at Hasbro were GREAT. There is something about them not being able to breathe that is so much worse than anything else they will go through. Lots and lots of good thoughts coming your way!!!!
