Re: Whats for Dinner Next Week (a day early, so I don't forget)

  • Menu for next week....

    Thurs- Chicken, potatoes

    Friday- Hot dogs and fries

    Saturday- Dinner at Baseball game

    Sunday- Burger Soup

    Monday- Burger Soup

    Tuesday- Pork in crockpot

    Wednesday-  Leftovers

Last week our best meal was GF baked ziti

We spend about $100 a week, I pack lunch for DH EVERY day.  I would love to cut the total in half, going to try and use coupons!

  • Whats on the menu's? - My goodness, I haven't even thought about it yet!  We don't do our grocerys until Sunday.  :)

What was your best meal this past week?  This last week has included our 5 days Easter break, so our eating has been a bit wacky.  Best meal was probably the pizza we made.  I am bringing back cranberry and brie!!

How much do you spend on groceries each week? We spend $115, and if we want to buy our lunch, it has to come out of our individual allowence money.

  • I just went grocery shopping yesterday:

Today - Homemade Baked Mac and Cheese and Broccoli

Friday - Chicken Quesadilla's and Mexican rice

I'll be out of town Saturday and Sunday we always go to Qdoba

Monday - Spaghetti and French bread

Tuesday - Baked Chicken and Rice

    Wednesday - Chicken Parmasean

Thursday - Pancakes, egg, and bacon :-)

Favorite meal last week was the Cream Cheese Chicken I made in the Crockpot on Easter.

I spend about $60 a week on groceries - and I shop once a week.

  • (M) Curry Singapore noodles with baked egg rolls and rice

    (T) Greek Turkey meatballs on pita bread with skinny tzatsiki with a cucumber and tomatoe salad

    (W) Pan seared scallops with baby greens and citrus mojo Vinaigrette

(TH) Ruben Sandwich with sweet potatoes and a green salad

    (F) crock-pot shredded beef tacos, refried beans on corn on the cobb

    (S) Planko-crusted fish with oven fries and green salad

    (S) We always go over to my parents on Sunday for a family dinner

Favorite meal from last week... We haven't eaten anything too interesting since I haven't been to the store in almost three weeks! We're waiting for DH first pay check with his new job, it comes on friday! But last night we had a steak salad and it was pretty good.

We try to spend about $100 a week on groceries. I shop every other week. But have to pick up milk, fruit and veges every week. I also pack DH lunch everyday for work. And I eat leftover dinners for lunch too. Sometimes we go over our budget but we very rarely go out so it all equals out at the end.

  • We just got our new grill from DH's parents' house so we are really into grilling right now. Last week we did burgers and grilled corn on the cob.

This week we are having (in no particular order)

Ham quiche (to use the rest of the Easter ham)

    Burgers

    Buffalo chicken casserole

    Maybe some grilled chicken

We try to keep groceries around $100 per week including alcohol, toiletries, and other household supplies. We rotate between Meijer, Trader Joe's, Aldi, and Sam's to get the best prices for various items.
