Yay Friday!
I'm still gimping around, but things are sorta getting better. Blargh.
I'd planned on getting up early to watch the Royal Wedding coverage live, but when my alarm went off at 4:30am I sort of just gave it the finger. I did get up a bit early so I could at least fast-forward through most of it to see the highlights. My ride arrived just as the wedding ceremony itself was starting, so at least I got to see Kate's procession.
We had crazy high winds yesterday. Gust up to and over 100 km/hr (60mph). Our tree dropped a TON of sticks/branches, a piece of our soffit under the porch was ripped off, we lost a few shingles, the siding on one side of the addition was ripped free and our shed was blown over, snowblower and all. Wind is impressive, and I'm sure that was nothing compared to what those in tornado areas have to deal with.
No idea what's on the go for this weekend. Most likely some board game playing and me resting with my foot up. The gas guy is supposed to come tomorrow, so hopefully that happens!
What does everyone have on the go for this weekend?
Re: Happy Friday!!
Raynes - I hope that your foot recovers quickly. Yikes those are some strong winds.
Happy Friday! Another busy day at work, ugh month end and trying to wrap up everything.
Lastnight they boys were successful with their haircuts! Yay!
This weekend we are off to buy a new fridge. Ours is 20 years old and is finally dying. Hmmm I see a trend, computer and now fridge. Otherwise we couldn't get a sitter to have a date night so it will be a weekend at home. Thinking about inviting my BFF over Saturday night for our first fire in the fire pit, but we will see.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Good Morning. I succesfully got up early this morning to watch the royal wedding. I will be streaming the live coverage in the background today at work. This weekend we are taking to the boys to a carnvial/fair tonight. Tomorrow is what they call super saturday for tball/buddy ball. Each team plays 2 games and they sell fish plates to raise money. So we play at 10:30 and 1.
I have to AW my baby really fast for those of you that are not my facebook friends. Preston pulled up for the first time last night. I was so suprised. I updated my blog with the story and a picture.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
I actually managed to get up to watch the wedding! I wasn't really even planning to until last night, and then I figured it would be a good excuse to get to the gym early before work. So I ran during it - it worked out well! I kind of wish there was a Royal Wedding every day so I could be more motivated to workout before work instead of after work. We'll see how I feel this afternoon on 3.5 hours of sleep, but I feel pretty good right now!
Tonight after work H and I are going to get pedis (shh...he loves them, but it's a well-kept secret; he'd die if he knew I told anyone) in preparation for our trip to Florida tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to go out to sushi afterwards, then home to do last-minute packing.
Hope everyone else has beautiful weather today like we do here in Boston!

Good morning! I have a jam packed day - I'm so behind in my lessons as there have been so many interruptions over the past 2 weeks. I think I've seen my grade 7 class once in the last 8 classes.
Other than that, I have big marking plans this weekend. I'm finally going to get the rest of this stuff all killed off this weekend so I can begin to relax a bit before the final batch of essays comes in.
Ooh! Also, my principal told me yesterday that no one had applied for the job, so that means it's up for grabs (by me). I'm quite happy about that.

Happy Friday!
Today is a busy but short day for me. I am out of here early today for my 16 week check up. Wow, this is really flying!
This weekend, we really don't have a lot of plans but hoping to get some yard work done since it may finally be nice enough.
Have a great day and weekend ladies!
Happy Friday, yay!
I have a short day at work today and then nothing much planned for tonight. Tomorrow it's supposed to be nice out (finally!) so we plan on buying some stuff to fix up the backyard, like a gazebo type thing and some new patio stones.

Good morning!
I actually did manage to get up and watch the wedding. I hadn't planned on it, but I looked at the program yesterday and decided that I was interested in the music, and then this morning I woke up right at 5:55 so I went and watched it. I've tried to avoid most of the silly coverage up until now but I have to say the wedding itself was beautiful!
Another busy weekend ahead. We're singing at an ordination tonight, going to a bridal shower and birthday party tomorrow, and visiting my BFF on Sunday to talk about my baby shower and then seeing my parents.

Good morning!
Today I'm having lunch with my Grandma and my Great Aunt. After lunch we're going to pick up my youngest sister from the airport, she in town from Iowa for my nephews birthday this weekend.
Tomorrow I'm having all my sisters over for dinner, we're going to have some drinks and catch up. Sunday is my nephews 6th birthday party. I'm making him a motocross theme cake, hoping it turns out ok!
Have a great weekend ladies!
I've been gone the past few days...life has been really quite busy.
Raynes- Good to hear your foot is feeling somewhat better, the picture looks awful.
Rebaann- Sending vibes your way. You are in my T&P this weekend.
I didn't watch the wedding, I would have had to wake up at 2am but, I did PVR it and plan on watching it later today.
Yesterday was B's last class of this year, I am pretty darn happy that it is over. He has one more thing to hand in today but, he should be done that by about noon. I am just so excited to have my husband back!!! I think tonight we may celebrate, possibly a picnic out in a park, or a night out at the movies. This weekend shouldn't be to busy, the weather is supposed to be great so I think we may take advantage of that. Have a great weekend everybody!
Denver bound in the morning! I'm super excited to see my BFF, but sad to leave DH for the weekend. I've hardly seen him in weeks because of his work schedule. I also know this trip is going to screw up next week since, I get back late Sunday night.
Bailey - I'll wave as I come through town!
I totally got thrown for a loop this morning as soon as I got to work. My coworker opted to call out, on one of the busiest days of the week. I could strangle him, and I just might if he has the nerve to show up Monday. grrr. My boss wasn't all too pleased, either. I'm hoping this is enough to finally have a talk with him and find out if he really wants to work here.
I managed to get my go-kart at work stuck in our little outdoor space. That was absolutely hilarious and at least lightened my mood this morning. The rest of today will be just constant running around.
I did manage to get in some coverage from the royal wedding today. Loved it! I'm a sucker for weddings, so I couldn't wait to see all the little details.
Hopefully tonight I can get out to see Fast Five with DH. It's my bday present to myself. Love me some yummy men and fast cars.
I demand you must come see me next time you're in Denver - ::Stomps Feet::
Have fun this weekend! Hope your flights are ok, we're supposed to have some crappy weather cold weather this weekend.
Promise, next time I'm on the ground for more than 32 hours, we'll meet up.
And the whole reason you're getting crappy weather is because I'm coming and was hoping for something nicer than what we've been having.
I had a pretty laid back day today. I had a big lesson planned on fact and opinion, but my kids were not finished with a bunch of loose ends and were stressed, so I agreed to give them a work period to tie up all of the various assignments we've been working on lately, so they appreciated that and worked hard all day--which also gave me some extra time to get things done and to have some fun informal conversations that I feel like we haven't had time for lately. I really believe in having days like this sometimes, where the kids are self-directed and taking responsibility for what they need to accomplish but we can also just talk while we work both about school and non-school stuff. Sometimes we get so rushed that relationships suffer--and I think the relationships are way more important most of the time than the curriculum--I can teach awesome curriculum, but without the relationship, my kids won't care what we're doing. **Steps off high horse**
Now I am home and catching up on the wedding on DVR. Ed and I are trying to coordinate with friends to go and get dinner, but if that doesn't work out we'll still go out because I have no food left here.
Our only plans this weekend is yard work and then a bridal shower brunch for a childhood friend with my mom on Sunday. No running still for me...boo...especially since it is perfect long run weather.
