Landscaping

H and I are getting our landscaping done in the next few weeks if this rain ever lets up for long enough for the loam to dry.  I'm looking to start a flower garden in the front of our house/near the front steps.  I'm in need of some inspiration, does anyone have any pictures of their flower gardens or know of good websites for ideas.  What did you use as a barrier/retaining wall between the bed and lawn?

 TIA! :)

Re: Landscaping

  • I just have do it yourself perennials with a scalloped edging barrier.  It's not professional, but I like the look.  Where do you live?  If you're close to me, I'm willing to share perennials if you're interested.

Thanks so much, that's so kind of you.  We live in Bangor, so we're a little ways from you.  We're not looking to do anything professional either.  I'm new to all this and we're not hiring out the flowers, just the landscaping for a new lawn!
