So on Thursday I went for my OB check-up and my doctor laid some news on the DH and I. To give you some info before I share the news....Our very first ultrasound was at 7weeks. We heard and saw our lil peanuts heart beat and honestly just the ultrasound didnt look like all the others ive seen before. But tech said all was healthy. I shared my ultrasound pics with my mom and a friend of mine who happens to be a radiologist. Both of them said that it looked funny. But most important my radiologist friend asked me what that "faint circle" was in the pic and she swore there was something else in it. I had no idea what she was talking about. Now to bring you up to this last thursday, my doctor walks in and said that she wanted to talk about the ultrasound i had 3 weeks ago. She mentioned that...I WAS supposed to have TWINS! but one never made it past yolk stage and had no heart beat. She is hoping that the surviving baby will absorb the other like it usually does and that i should have a super healthy baby in the long run. This was shocking to hear, but I guess i cant be too upset since i never knew it existed before ?? Idk how to feel really. I am thankful tho, I know God knew twins would be a little challenging for me right now. I will be more than happy for one and cant wait till this thursday to get another ultrasound to see if my baby is alright.
Re: Pregnancy update- LONG
*HUGS*
I'm sorry you lost one of the twins. My aunt had a similar situation with my little cousin -- he was a twin and his twin died. But he was born healthy and he's almost 13 now, and just fine! I am sure your baby will be just great. I hope you're feeling better now and that you have a healthy remaining pregnancy.

I'm definitely keeping you in my thoughts
I know that it must be very hard to deal with what you are going through and there's nothing I can say to lighten the situation, but I can say I'm definitely keeping your little one in my prayers and I'm thinking he or she will be just as perfect. While twins would have been such a blessing and miracle in your life, God wanted you to have one. Don't get me wrong, twins are a complete miracle and amazing thing in life, but I'm sure it would be a bit challenging.... knowing you [were] pregnant with twins, maybe you'll get your pair next time... or maybe this one will turn out to be super healthy. Either way, I'm keeping you in my prayers and I'm praying you stay strong and encouraged through everything. It would be very hard if I were in the situation.
