Ideas for student gifts?

Hi ladies!

I am looking for some ideas. I currently work with 13 high school students and our time together will be ending this month. Some of them I will see again, others I may not because of a new job assignment and/or because a few are graduating and going off to college.

I want to put together a little goodie bag or something with a few inexpensive but unique gifts in there. Just something fun and maybe silly that they will like.

My guidelines are:

--cheap (I need 13 of everything, so I can't spend more than $5 on each kid, so I am hoping to buy in bulk...oriental trading company, anyone?)

--available online (I have ZERO time for shopping during normal business hours)

--unique (I don't want to just give them each a pencil and a candy bar).

So far the ideas I have are:

--fake mustaches

--those little erasers that are shaped like foods (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003E6P9DK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A14SGPFK8OOSZR )

--stickers

--some kind of undecided food item

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • I think what you have going so far is great. I always look in the dollar section at Target or the Dollar store when trying to do fun gifts like that, but I know that's not an option for you. What's great about amazon is you can usually get free shipping if your purchase is over $25 so that won't eat into your budget.

  • Thanks! Yeah, I have Amazon Prime so shipping is free on a lot of things. I just don't know what else to get.
  • I would probably include

    - Pencils/ pens

    - Temporary tattoos

    - Small notebook

    - Snack size bag of chips

    - Hair ties, nail polish, for the girls

    - Candy (dots, mike & Ike, or the $1 pack of twix, snickers, etc.)

If you have time I would go to Target.  They have their $1 section at the entrance and have a lot of cheap goodies.

  • These are all good ideas! When I get prizes for my AVID kids they are usually college related things like stickers, pendants or pencils from universities. That's a little harder to get quickly though. GL!!
