Update of my dad

Thanks for all the thoughts ladies!

He had to stay overnight and had an MRI done this morning. He has a herniated disk, so he is making an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon to see if he needs surgery or just injections in the back to get better. Thanks again!

    I've been waiting for this update all day! All things considered that's not too bad. Hopefully the injections will he sufficient and he won't need surgery. I'm glad he's doing relatively well!

    Yeah he is still in a lot of pain, but thats what the drugs are for! We are hoping for the injections too. He doesn't need to go through another surgery, poor guy.

    I can only imagine, I hope the meds are keeping him comfortable at least.

     Ouch! My dad had surgery on 3 herniated discs when I was in middle school and he was bedridden for months. I hope your dad's solution is a much easier one!

    whew. he is lucky it wasnt much worse. i know this still isnt the most painless of options, but better than something more serious. thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for your dad!

    Just read your other post and then this one. Glad to see somewhat better news, certainly better than it could have been! How scary that must have been for you all. Hope he gets the treatment he needs and is up and about soon.
