hey there, im getting down to the nitty gritty and i had a few questions about Memorial Hosp. i think i asked but what kind of bed did DH have? at W&I it is basically a fold out chair. Also do they feed him too? i am assuming they have all the things baby will need like diapers, wipes and things like that. did you tour the hosp first, i didnt with W&I but i had been there before to visit ppl. i was thinking of maybe going this week to check it out.....

Re: ~artsake~

  • Hey, Dee!  I can't believe it's almost time!  Definitely take a tour.  It completely calmed my nerves and prepared us.  From what I remember, Brian had a cot.  I know there's also a recliner, but he only stayed with me one night.  The food was really, really good and more than enough.  I remember at least one specific "fancy" dinner that was for both Brian and I.  There's also a "snack kitchen" down the hall with all sorts of snacks and drinks for whenever you want.  I know we both took advantage of that.  I had a private room and didn't have to share a bathroom with anyone.  I'm not sure if that's the case for all of them, but I remember both my delivery room and regular room were private.  They provide diapers, wipes, receiving blankets, pacifiers, all that stuff.  Two years ago we didn't have to schedule the tour, but just stop by when we were both available.  You may want to call to see if that's still the case.  The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't have wifi, but that may have changed by now too...  Good luck!!
  • thanks amy!! i think we will head over there on wed. i will feel better at least having been there once before the big day!!!!!
