My big announcement of the day :)
So, some of you that I talk to on facebook already know this, and I'm announcing it here because it's still really early, so a lot of my family doesn't know yet, but if I don't tell someone, my head may explode:
I'm going to be a grandma! My first grandkid is on his/her way. I'll spare all of you the truly gory details, but my oldest biological daughter just told me this weekend that she's pregnant. Baby should be here the first week in January 2012.
This is not the way I would have planned things, but I'm trying to stay positive and remain a source of strength for my daughter and her baby. Besides, babies are always awesome, no matter what their birth circumstances may be.
