Survived a weekend with MIL

We spent the weekend at my MILs to celebrate DH's grandparents 65th wedding anniversary.  MIL and DH had a few arguments, but nothing too out of control. 

Also had a baby shower.  MIL neglected to tell anyone where we registered, so of course we got a bunch of clothes and toys and stuff.  Oh well.  We also got several hand-made quilts which are awesome!  Overall the shower was better than I expected.  Pink was kept to a minimum and MIL somehow resisted the urge to play stupid shower games.  

Saturday night, DH and his cousin went driving around.  I didnt go because I was really tired.  DH swerved to miss hitting a deer and put his mothers car into the ditch.   Broke the tire rods or something so the car would not move.  Had to call a tow truck.  They are all ok, but considering the wreck DH was in last week he is pretty shaken up.

    Sounds like a very eventful weekend!! Glad your DH is ok and that you survived your weekend with your MIL!!

    I feel so bad for your DH.  He has had a real stroke of bad luck!  Glad to hear that everyone is OK and MIL behaved herself for the most part!

    Glad you survived the weekend and YH is okay!  Poor guy certainly has had bad luck lately.

    Glad to hear everything went better then expected :) Now you can enjoy the comforts of your own home again. Glad you were too tired and didn't go driving too! Your DH sounds like he has my luck, not a good thing :P
