Help me if you can....

DH and I have been married almost 2 years and were together 2 years before that. I've never been consistant with my "O" but could usually achieve it every few times. For the last year I haven't though and I'm honest with him so he knows I haven't. No change in BC and no other meds to interfere.

He is starting to think its his fault and I know how much strain this can put on the relationship because he feels like he isn't performing well enough to keep me satisfied.  How can I figure out if its him going too early or something wrong with me? (It does seem like he used to last longer...)

Re: Help me if you can....

  • Can you get there on your own or is it just when its with him?
  • Yes its no problem on my own. (although it is usually "battery operated" rather than manual.)
  • Maybe it's time you should try to switch it up... If you can tell he's getting close to finishing, maybe change positions... that few seconds might be enough to bring him back a little and give you more time to get there. Sometimes I have trouble getting there unless I'm on top.
  • Have you had a full check up lately?  Thyroid and pituitary issues can interfere with ability to orgasm.
  • You said that it used to last longer.  Is that bc you're having less foreplay?  I, myself, know that if DH is going to get me there, a healthy amount of foreplay is paramount.

  • have you tried to get there manually to see if you still can
  • Sorry if this is TMI, but have you ever thought about manual stimulation while doing the 'deed'? I rarely had one, and an taught me a few things... manual stimulation being one of them.

All i had to say was WOW!! Give it a try, you never know. AND, the more you become comfortable with yourself, the more relaxed you become and your "O" will happen more and more... have fun!!

  • I am just over a year for a full check up and have always had clear test results but I do intend to ask some questions at my next appointment. Thyroid is a health issue for some of the women in my family.  Just a little nervous because it will be with a doc I have never gone to before.

Foreplay is definitely something he takes the time to take care of. Having been reading up on this lately and I see that he apparently has been reading up before me because he has already tried some of the "techniques" on Men's health and other places like that. Thats part of what makes it frustrating- he is sooooo attentive and I really do appreciate it. The hardest part (haha! pun intended?) for me is I can NOT tell how close he is! Doesn't seem like there is any phsical clue and definitely no audible clues. So I just try and focus on what feels good to me but then.....well you know...

I am curious if I can still get there manually and that is something I will look into for sure.

I appreciate all the questions and suggestions- it is exactly what I was looking for. Let me know if you think of anything else and I will just keep trying to fix it.

DH and I are about to hit 2 years in 2 weeks, and had lots of problems to begin with, either I wouldn't finish, or it would hurt or something.

Hubby and I bought a tiny vibrator, just something to stimulate the clitoris because I could rarely orgasm with just him. We used it a handful of times (depending on the position as to which one of us used it on me), and honestly we don't even use it now. I got more comfortable with him as I got more comfortable with myself. I can finish just fine with him now.

As for feeling him about to finish, I gauge when DH is about to by his groans and moans. If your husband isn't one to groan and moan, tell him to try it because you need some kind of sign of when he's about to finish. Otherwise, he's just going to have to tell you to back off for a second so you can change positions and he can fight off his orgasm for a moment!

  • Are you just not able to orgasm during sex? If you guys like oral that is an option. Also if you can orgasm on your own with a vibrator or whatever you use you could also use that during sex in certain positions, that is what I do.

Just use your battery friend while your having sex. I promise you'll squirt Haha. If its an inside friend buy an external one. Your dh will be so turned on you'll hurt from all of it. Promise ;)
