can you get a decent one for under $100? is it really fast? like, i don't even have time for make-up in the am, so would i have time to plug this in and use it or would it be a waste during the work week?
Re: do you use a flat iron?
I have really thick and long hair and I blow dry my hair first which takes 10 minutes and then I use the flat iron for 10-15 minutes. I definitely straighten my hair more now that I'm not working in the real world soooo I'd say probably not? Cause I couldn't be bothered to get up earlier to do it and you have 2 kids and are juggling a million more things then my lazy arse.
When I first started straightening I just bought a cheap $30 one to see if I'd use it and had it for years so they are worth it even just for weekend affairs. My niece uses a cheapie from target and it does a good job but she takes a long time so I don't know whether it has to do with the cheapie or if she is slow, maybe both.
i wash and dry my hair at night - could i use it then and would it still be good in the morning?
i just need to look a little more put together - thought i would start at the top with hair!
next - learn how to apply makeup in the car
I have a Chi and I love it, but that doesn't answer your question at all.
I think using one can be quick if you have a system. For example, I usually separate my hair into sections and iron it very thoroughly when my hair is freshly washed, then touch up as needed in the am before I go to work. BUT I only wash my hair twice a week so it isn't a huge ordeal. I think if I was washing my hair more often I wouldn't want to be bothered.
Yes, this is what I do. But I still need to give it a once over in the morning.
I have a pink colored Revlon one from Target. It works great, and fast and was cheap. Since I don't use it as much the Chi is not cost effective for me.
My hair is generally very straight but I do every so often to prevent frizz.
I have a CHI but got it on EBay brand new for $80. I love mine and couldnt live without it. Its SO much better then any drug store one. It heats up super fast and one swipe and the hair is soft and super straight.
I also wash and dry my hair at night sometimes and then I run the CHI through my hair in the AM and its quick and easy.
