Hair Ideas

This is what my hair currently looks like

image

(I hate to even say it but these are maternity pictures - so I feel I look a little round in the face - this is something I"m trying to take into consideration when getting my hair cut.  I'm still losing the weight)

I am getting my blonde back - this picture has me more of a cooper-ish color.  I'm not a fan.

I've tried to go short a few times and HATED it each time so the shortest I'll consider going is about an inch below my shoulders.  I do need to take some of the ends off this time around though.

I'm also toying with the idea of bangs but I keep going back and forth.  These area few ideas I have - give me your honest answer and any other ideas you might have.

Short bangs like this

Or longer-ish bangs like that so I can still pull them back into a pony tail

Re: Hair Ideas

  • I like carrie underwoods bangs and long layers.  Your hair looks pretty thick and I think they would look good on you.  The other ones look too shaggy and grown out.

  • Whatever allows you to pull your hair completely into a ponytail. Once Dayne grabs hold of your hair with the death grip, you will appreciate the ponytail!

  • I like the last pic....You look great blonde! I think you should go shorter than the pic, though.

    I like this deep part:

  • I like both of those, and I think some long layers would look great!  I love the look of the side-swept longer bangs, but I will mention -- if you're one of those people (like I am) that needs to have your hair off of your face, I probably wouldn't recommend the bangs....you'd be fussing with them constantly.  If you're going for something low-maintenance, I would stick with the longer layers and face-framing, but skip the bangs.  :o)

BTW, I don't think you look "round" in that pic at all!

  • Mary - I keep a hair band on my wrist at all times to pull my hair back whenever I'm around Dayne.  He already likes to hold on when he's feeding or being held.

  • I think your hair would look really nice with some long side swept bangs & long layers.  I will say that sometimes the bang thing is a PITA as they start to grow.  I need mine trimmed badly.  But, if they are long enough you can just push them out of the way if you need to.

  • i would do a combo of the two - the layers that carrie has with the long bangs of the other picture. actually, cut your bangs a little shorter then that so they barely fit in a ponytail and then you have room for them to grow out without losing them to just being another layer.

your hair seems very thick or full so i definitely think some layers would look really nice. sometimes just the straight and long look can seem boring.

  • I have bangs and I'm growing them out.  Chasing after a baby and not being able to pull my hair back is a disaster.  I love the Julianne Hough hair and I think it would look great on you.  It has style and you can still pull it back when you need to.

Ditto this, I don't have a kid but after a while having shorter bangs w/longer hair is a PITA.

Same. I don't have a kid or long hair, but I will always have bangs thanks to my ginormous forehead. Bangs are usually a PITA.
