Thoughts on the dress?

It was classic, timeless, elegant but still sort of boring to me.

Re: Thoughts on the dress?

  • I think it was as perfect as it could have been. It was very pretty. If she wasn't marrying the Prince in Westminster Abbey do I think it's the dress she would have chosen? No. I think it did a good job of infusing her style into something the was expected and acceptable for the occasion. I think she's flawless.

  • Now the hair and make up to me were flawless. And I guess she didn't need more embellishment on her dress since she was wearing a sparkly tiara!

William also becomes much sexier when he speaks.

  • Haha. The only part I've seen so far is them getting into the carriage after the wedding. I'll have to watch the rest later since I recorded it.

I think there were a lot of lace embellishments that we couldn't see and for some reason I think anything sparkly just wouldn't have fit in just right...or at the very least it would have taken away from the tiara. I think if she wasn't marrying into the royal family she would have maybe gone a little sexier...but the occasion and the venue wouldn't have allowed that. I imagine it was probably hard for her to find balance between her style and what was to be expected of her. I do love her choice of designers. Also, Pippa was stunning!

  • I was underwhelmed, though I'm kind of proud of her for not trying to out-do Diana. That could've gone terribly terribly wrong.

I was CRACKING UP at Harry during the ceremony. Between the bed-head and the slightly-swaying movements... anyone else get the feeling he was insanely hungover and about to toss his cookies? LOL

  • Yes, Pippas dress was stunning!

I guess having to deal with what's expected of you and all that would make me not want to be a princess. Although Ryan did bring me an allergy pill last night on a silver platter since I called him on my cell phone from the bedroom and asked him to bring me one and he called me your highness, so Stick out tongue

  • LOL. That's a happy medium to being a real princess, Brit!

Can we also perhaps discuss this: (WTF?)

Chelsy Davy, girlfriend of Prince Harry, leaving her London house for the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton

    And this:

  • I was underwhelmed by the dress at first but the more I saw it and thought about the surroundings the more I liked it.  I loved the lace.

OMG, we all said the same thing!  Soooo underwhelming in the looks department, but my god.  When he started talking he all of a sudden became much, much hotter.

  • I thought it was gorgeous and very appropriate for the setting.
