Good Morning!

Soo, apparently I need to go read some news.  We were up late watching Tron last night, so I had no idea what was going on with this Osama stuff.  Good new though.

Today is our federal election day, so that should be interesting.  I'm fairly certain I know who I'm going to vote for, but I'll do a bit of reading today to make sure I'm 100%.

So far so good with the new housemate.  Turns out she's here for 10 months?  Not 8?  I hate not being informed.

How was everyone's weekend?

Re: Good Morning!

  • I'm a little nervous this morning, I have an interview at one of the best schools in my current district today at 5:15. I'm going to try to go to the gym for Zumba in a bit and then run some quick errands, but I'm pretty nervous.

My brother's wedding was awesome, we jammed out to "friday". No bs a big group of grown adults danced to that song. It was a good time over all, except that my SIL worked herself up so much so that she wasn't feeling well.

Oh also we decided to do the Frozen Embryo Transfer, no dates or anything yet, but probably late June, or July.

  • FMO major vibes for the Frozen Embryo Transfer!

I had a good weekend. I enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding on Friday with my friends. All of the food turned out delicious! raynes, I made the recipe that you posted and it was great. I also made quiche, scones and sausage rolls. We drank mimosas and had fun critiquing all of the fashions.

Saturday I attended a former classmate's wedding and was a little disappointed. The wedding itself was great but the reception left something to be desired. The food was terrible (really dried out fried chicken and a mystery meat that I though was ham but a friend of mine thought was turkey), and the venue itself smelled like poop. I've been to budget weddings that have been lovely but this just wasn't. It was great to hang out with several of my MBA friends though.

Yesterday I accomplished some major work around the house. This included finally getting rid of the old computer desk that had been taking up space since we haven't had a desktop in several years. It was very heavy, thus the Tylenol PM last night for my very sore muscles. Overall though it was a great weekend.

@ FMO - good luck with both the interview and the FET.

This weekend we spent Saturday morning in Rockville with the turkey baster.  Then we ran around and did a bunch of errands and stopped by to visit friends that we hadn't seen in awhile.

Sunday, I made the cupcakes that caught Jim, and planted a whole bunch of flowers and herbs.  I am very excited to have fresh basil and oregano all summer long.

  • good morning!

we had a busy weekend - got fitted for running shoes, went out to eat some crabs, and participated in the 5 mile long March of Dimes in my area. it was a blast! oh, and I made these cupcakes last night... they were delicious!

and I got up to run this morning for the first time ever. unfortunately, I pulled something in my hip/groin area walking yesterday, so I couldn't really run, but I did walk for about 30 minutes. felt amazing to be up and exercising in the morning!

    have a good day, ladies!

  • MO - Good luck with the interview and as always praying for you and DH.

    My weekend was great.

We bought a new fridge and computer on Saturday. Had friends over Saturday night and I stayed up WAY to late. It was great to have our first fire in the fire pit this year.  We burned so much wood it was still smoking this morning. Yikes.

Today the new fridge is getting delivered.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • FMO- Good luck with the interview and the FET.

This weekend went fairly well. B finally finished his semester on Friday, we were both thrilled. Next April he is going to be done, I am so looking forward to it.

On Saturday we went to the IL's for lunch and did some laundry. Saturday evening I went to the gym.

Today it is raining so I am not sure what I'll be doing with the kids. Perhaps we will go to the Library.

  • Good luck on the interview MO!

We had a busy weekend...I had a training Saturday morning, then DH and I spent the rest of the afternoon doing yardwork, clearing out the garden beds. Sunday was a lot of the same...then we went into town for a drink.

The 8th graders are on a trip until Thursday, so this week should be smooth sailing.

    Have a great week ladies!

  • Mo - good luck on your interview and I'm happy to hear about your decision!

I spent the weekend in Denver with one of my BFF's for her baby shower. She was super surprised to see me and we had a great, relaxing weekend. It was nice to catch up, but I'll admit I missed DH.

    And I can't believe it's already May!

  • Thank goodness this weekend is over. I've never been so happy to see a Monday.

Friday and Saturday were some of the most labor intensive work days I've had in a long time. Yesterday we went to our nephew's 4th bday party. That was cute and fun.

Sometime around 1130 last night, I woke up in incredible pain all down my sides and into my back. By 4, we were finally given the okay to leave the ER. I'm home on bed rest today and told to drink as much as I can without floating away. They are hoping the pain wasn't early signs of kidney stones. My urine didn't show anything, but they said that it might just be too early. It could also be just a ton of strained muscles, combined with dehydration from my work over the weekend. I'm super relieved to just be home, with my heating pad and continuous bottles of water. I'm feeling so much better and am so relieved.

The fun for our night was our lobster escaping our fish tank. I caught the cat playing with him at 5am. Not so fun to see a creepy crawly on your floor when you get up in the middle of the night.

Poor DH is probably dying from exhaustion at work today. I'm hoping he gets to come home early to catch up on some sleep. Hopefully we have a much smoother rest of the week.

  • MO good luck with your interview!

I had a great weekend! I went to the concrete canoe competition in College Station. We didn't get to compete though since our canoe broke a week before the competition but we still went to see other teams canoe and attend the conference.

We also went site seeing and got to take a tour of A&M and the Bush Museum/Library. Overall I had a lot of fun.

  • Hi, all. Been a while--last week was insane and I didn't get a chance to post at all. This week is pretty crazy, too, but not as bad (hopefully).

Weekend was good. H and I had a meeting early Saturday with a group we volunteer with; after that, we went to a party for his job's president, who's leaving soon. Sunday he left for NC, so I was on my own yesterday. Just hit the gym, ran some errands, and applied to jobs.

Just gearing up for this week now. I have a full interview with the nonprofit I mentioned a couple of weeks back on Wednesday. Might be asking for vibes on that! And after Thursday I'm home free from work because on Saturday--Cancun!

dora, up here in Canada we have the concrete toboggan competition.

Reba - major vibes that this is the one that sticks

We just got back from a weekend away in Cornwall.  Even though the weather didn't cooperate fully, it's a gorgeous part of the country and I'm glad we were finally able to make it down there.  But this also marks the end of our second 4-day weekend in a row, and I'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.  At least it's only a 4-day week.
