Re: PG/Mom Check-In
I didn't realize you were so close! How exciting!
After all of Maisy's weight issues, she has suddenly hit a tremendous growth spurt and is huge! She does not look like a 6 week old baby at all. She is starting to smile and is an awesome sleeper. She is a better sleeper now than Beckett was at 6 months...or even 9 months!
I'm going back to work today. Blah. Zoe and I slept till 10 (whoa!) and we just took an hour long nap. I didn't really sleep but I rested with my eyes closed. It's going to be interesting staying up all night tonight. H took tomorrow off to help me ease back into the night routine.
We also have Zoe's 2 month check up this afternoon. It's a little late but I waited too long to call the pedi and this was the soonest I could get. I haven't decided if she will get her 2 month shots today or not. I can't imagine her being upset and then me having to go to work for the first time since she was born. Tonight is going to be hard enough, for so many reasons! I will just decide when I get there, but I'm leaning towards no shots right now. Maybe we can go in at the end of this week or next Monday for the vaccines.
Good luck at work today! The first few days are the hardest but you will adjust!
FWIW, Macy has never had any bad reactions to her shots. When she was an infant she just slept more than normal. But then again, every baby is different!
Baby Macy is here!
12/09 - Macy (daughter) | 4/10 - Began TTC Baby #2 | 12/10 - Chemical Pregnancy | 1/12 - Miscarriage at 14 weeks | DX - PCOS & Hyperthyroidism
We painted the baby's room this weekend and hung a curtain rod for the valance. Also I had DH hang another shelf in the closet and we need more storage space. Our house does not have any "hall closets" just the ones in the bedrooms so his closet will have suitcases, the vacume cleaner, etc in it.
The past week I have developed back pain, almost like sciatic nerve pain. It hurts in my lower back/butt cheek on my left side. Wishing this would go away but I have a feeling it wont. haha
Tomorrow is DH and my 3 year anniversary. We are probably going to dinner but nothing else since it falls on a weekday. I feel like we should try to plan one last get away before the baby comes but I dont know if I feel like spending the money.
Having an active (almost) 2.5 year old while pg is definitely trying. Her favorite word is "no" of course and she likes to make sure the neighbors hear her say it. She is really a great kid, makes me crack up every day with her silliness and the random words that come out of her mouth. Lately it's been things like this:
me: Ava do you want your juice?
Ava: yes............of course
Of course??? Where did she get this? So funny I tell ya. We got a bike co-pilot thing installed and DH takes her on rides whenever he can. I'm banned from riding with her due to my "condition"...blah. I do accompany them if I'm feeling up for it. She likes to yell to everyone we pass in our neighborhood, "hi!! this is AWESOME!".
In pg news, I just keep getting bigger. No complaints just reflux which Tums takes care of. Jax is very active so that is reassuring. I have scheduled my c-section for August 2nd, please let the next 90 days whiz by.
Is it bad that I've barely started on his nursery? I think last time by this point I was 90% finished with Ava's. Oh how things change the 2nd time around, lol.
I had this exact same thing. It would get so bad that the only thing that would ease it was lying down on my left side. Luckily for me this only lasted a couple weeks. Hopefully, it will be the same for you.
I have been having this as well, intermittently. It's been my lower right side and bending down definitely is not fun. Tylenol has been my friend if the pain gets too bad. That and doing stretches and resting seem to help too.
Kennedy is 9lbs 15oz, and doing very well. Her surgery will be in around 6 weeks. Honestly, I'm completely terrified. I want to have it behind us, but with every day that we get closer, I'm more and more anxious about it. I've had some serious anxiety attacks over it lately. And the other day someone asked if there was a chance she might not make it through. I almost killed them. Right then and there. I'm scared to death, I have no idea how I'm going to handle not being able to feed her the night before, or how I'm going to handle turning her over to the nurses to go in to the OR. I'm sitting here crying my eyes out just thinking about it.
Don't you love it??!!!
My H asked Parker, "Are you ready for bed?" He replied... Not Quite. I have no clue where toddlers get this stuff from.
Brett and Emma had their three month appointment today and had their second Hepatitis B shot. They have been doing fine since so that is always nice!
We are going to start sleep training tonight. I am so not looking forward to it, but after a nice spurt of great sleep, things are getting out of hand. The worst part is we have to separate them so they don't wake each other up. H and I are already in the guest room while our master bathroom is being remodeled. So one will be in the nursery and the other in the office.
And Emma rolled over last night! We put her on her back in her crib, and she managed to roll over during one of her MANY wakeful periods between 1AM and 7AM.
