How do you even begin to shop on etsy? I think there are so many cool things on there, but I get overwhelmed looking!
I was looking at necklaces, and even when I narrowed it down to a charm necklace there are almost 100,000!!!
Re: Etsy
I signed up for emails from heartsy, which has daily deals on etsy stuff.
You can also try advanced search and look for things made locally or try different types of searches.
i did this also. it's nice because it only gives you 4-6 sellers to look at each day so you're not overwhelmed. PLUS, you get screamin deals!
this is my link for heartsy and if you sign up and make a purchase using it, i get $5 and you get $5. pretty sweet. : )
I haven't heard of heartsy before, but I love a deal and it would be nice not to have to sort through thousands of items. I tried your link and it didn't work, though. I'll try again ...

weird. here it is in long form. http://heartsy.me/users/32192/referral
Here's a link to top sellers http://www.craftcount.com/ - not exactly my favorite since part of the charm of etsy is finding a super small crafter.
Etsy has improved their local search function so that if you type "handbag" in the search field you can then chose to find sellers in your area. I still manage to shop for hours (and I've only bought stuff 2 times) - it's like I get so overwhelmed with all the choices that I become paralyzed and give up.
That worked ... you'll have a $5 credit now!
