2 questions that have nothing to do with each other
How is everyone? It's been a long time.
One: What do I get my husband for our 5 year anniversary?
Two: Has anyone been on a Disney Cruise? Details please
We just came back from disney about 2 weeks ago and had a great time, now planning the next vacation. Went to disney in a walking boot which was not fun but very beneficial.
Re: 2 questions that have nothing to do with each other
Hi Melissa! How's Ethan doing?
I've been thinking a lot about my 5 year anniversary and I'm seriously drawing a blank. I wanted to get him something special. I think we've decided to go away for the weekend. We just haven't picked the location. I'm waiting for his input, but I'm thinking I should just plan it and let him be surprised. I've thought about getting him tickets to a Capitals game. I know they are coming to B-more in September, but the tickets are kind of pricey. I'm now back to square one.
When I googled 5th anniversary I came across this.
I'm drawing a blank on 5 year anniversary gifts too. We talked about maybe doing a short trip, but that was a few months ago.
Jen, I liked that one of the suggestions from that site was "line your closets in cedar," sounds super romantic
Ethan is good, growing like a weed. He is over 3 feet tall.
Thanks, yeah i would love to go away for the weekend but i think it will be hard for him to get off again since we were just in Disney for 10 days. so i found a website that has a private sailing cruise for 2 hours on the bay which might be nice.
I know tell me about it.
She's good. Talking up a storm. I really have to be careful what I say now. She now knows crap and ***! Bad mommy!
I suck at gift-giving and I've never been on a Disney Cruise but a couple we used to be friends with loved them. You may want to ask on the Travel board, and I think there's off-Nest cruise message boards where you can read reviews from other cruisers - the girls on the Travel board would know where to find that, too.
Sorry to hear you're in a walking boot - what did you do?
No idea about Disney cruises, but we're not good at giving gifts, so we generally celebrate by doing something (a trip, a show, a concert, nice dinner somewhere, etc). If we want something, we buy it. Plus it's hard to give gifts when the money is coming out of the same pot. For our 5-year we're saving up for a Mediterranean cruise. Obviously this could change depending on the circumstances, but something along those lines. For our one year we're planning a trip to NYC for the weekend. I'd much rather spend money on something we can enjoy doing together.
Congrats on 5 years!
I have heard great things about Disney cruises and I agree that you should check out the Travel board or cruisecritic.com, which reviews cruises.
For our 5 year anniversary, we took a cruise to Bermuda. We had originally wanted to go to Europe, but did not for a variety of reasons. I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time.
We are saving up to go to Europe/Vacation (or on a Disney cruise) for our 10 year anniversary. We will have our DD and maybe another one and we plan on taking them with us.
For anniversaries, we have done both gifts and events, i.e. tickets to a concert/play and dinner.
