Broad Street Runners

Are you recovered?  How did you all fare?  You had GREAT weather!

Re: Broad Street Runners

  • It was awesome - I posted an extremely long-winded race report on H&F.

My calves are like rocks.  I had to scoot down the steps on my bum this morning.  Hopefully my physical therapist can loosen me up this afternoon!

  • I would have to agree that the race was awesome.  I posted a race recap and pictures in my blog.

As for recovered... My knees are really stiff today...Nothing that a couple Aleve can't help, kind of.  I have been wearing compression sleeves on my calves since the race.  Love them!

     Thanks for asking.

  • I finished! My pace was pretty slow but I ran the whole thing (that was my goal).

It was pretty tough...by mile 8 I wanted to die. Luckily my friend stayed with me and pushed me to the finish.

It was a gorgeous day!  The erburs always take the day after BSR off...we go out to lunch, relax, watch some movies.  Even two days after the race, my quads are sore. Which I take this soreness a good thing, since it means I pushed my body to its limits.  So very proud of everyone that participated in Sunday--as a runner, as a cheerleader or as a volunteer!!!!!  THANK YOU!
