Alright, who did the Flying Pig ??

I know we had several local Nesties participate (not me, ha!), but I'm super-curious to see how many participated, in what races, and how everyone did.

C'mon! Brag on yourselves! Let's hear it!

Re: Alright, who did the Flying Pig ??

  • I did the half. I shaved 9+ minutes off my prior personal best - which is AWESOME and I'm being happy about. But I missed a goal I had set for myself by 83 seconds. My H keeps telling me that 83 seconds over the course of 13 miles is too small to be unhappy about. *sigh* Obviously he does not understand this running hobby of mine. :)

I hear ya! Anytime I tell my H how I did, whether it is a race or a training run, he says - "Good job!" I mean, yes, I am happy he is so supportive. But sometimes I want to scream - "NO! That is NOT good! That is horrible!" or "It is more than good! It is freakin amazing!" Lol. He has no idea what pace I should be running at any given time.

I also ran the half and ran my fastest time since a half I ran in 2008 - and that course was 100% flat. So I feel good about it. I beat my goal by 1 minute and 20 seconds (well...according to my Garmin...official chip time said I beat it by 16 seconds....so I choose to believe my watch). :) The weather was actually fine for me, but did cause a bit of uncomfortable chafing...

And I didn't see the naked guy. But my boss did!

  • If anyone saw the "Free Hugs" sign at mile 15, that was me holding it. :) I made sure everyone stayed on the course (including some disoriented people who did the Mariemont loop and almost went back to do it again!) and hugged probably about 100 sweaty runners.
