The REA just called us - the other couple is within 1k of where we are but they're leaning towards our offer because we have a bigger down payment! COME ON LAWYERS, I need that inheritance now! Keep those vibes coming - it's working!

Lots and lots of vibes coming your way, girlfriend! I just read your other post. I posted a few weeks ago with f/u to the first offer we put in on a house, and it was a crazy bidding war as well (although we were flat-out rejected despite knowing the sellers well because 3 of the other 5 offers were for over list price for an overpriced house, crazy!).
Anyways, DH and I put in an offer on a second house last Saturday, the day before Easter. And after some countering (which we didn't hear about until Tuesday), we finally got official word on Thursday that our offer was accepted, and now we are under contract! Hooray!
So to sum things up, I just want to say I know how you feel, and how incredibly agonizing the wait is. GOOD LUCK! Can't wait to hear how things go, please keep us updated ASAP!
Also, just a little word of advice. We heard this a million times from family and friends and it p*ssed us off so much because it definitely doesn't make you sleep better at night... but if it doesn't happen then it wasn't meant to be... there will be another house out there for you! We were so sick of hearing it and never believed it would be true. BUT, we did find a house that is 100x better, and we are so excited to be under contract now.
