work vent with no real point

I was seeing clients today in the same building that one of our reps was doing hearings in today. We were chatting before our clients got there, and he tells me that he and two of our other reps resigned and today will be their last day. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, we talked about what they'd be doing and some of the details etc. Essentially this kind of screws over the company because we went from having 5 reps that can go to hearings to 2. The junior reps (like me) can go to hearings but it messes up our payment if the client wins. Long story that's not important.

So I get kind of excited because that could possible mean more opportunity for me with seeing clients and whatnot. Except that after talking to our CEO, she doesn't think my schedule will change a whole lot. I told her I'd rather see more clients and that I'm open to that if it's needed. In my territory there are two junior reps (me and a more seasoned gal), and then the senior rep that is resigning. Honestly I don't know how they'll not be able to send me out more if the other junior rep has to go to hearings now, that means there are a lot of lower level clients that will need to be seen. So I guess she's thinking about that. Anyway....

So it's safe to say I knew about all of this by 9:15am. I get an email from my "supervisor" at 3:30 telling me about it and that there may be some changes in the office. WTF. I didn't even email her back. I really wanted to say "hello you twatwaffle, I am equal to you. Therefore, I get to know the same info that you get to know." I really want to punch her in the face whenever she kicks into "supervisor" mode on me. I seriously need to have a talk with CEO about this, because it's so stupid I have a supervisor. It's laughable really.

And if you made it to this point, you get a drink. Beer

Re: work vent with no real point

  • I have a peer that sends out supervisor esque emails and I want to throat punch him constantly.

You've gotta get some more opportunities from this...it makes no sense that you wouldn't.

  • First, I laughed at twatwaffle - it's one of my favorite terms for some reason.  Second, accidentally send her an email virus....jk...sort of.  Third, I hope it means you get to see clients more!  Does that mean you will get paid more, less or the same?

  • You should have just emailed back with "I know" - just so that she knows her email to you was pointless.

Well, hopefully a raise would come at some point but I'm not sure if it would be sooner rather than later.

She did end up calling me about having to change one of my client days and I told her I knew because I saw the one rep this morning. That led to a whole different conversation that made me want to junkpunch her again. I just try to keep our conversations short and sweet.
