Re: please post any pics from the White House!!!

  • Two of DH's coworkers posted pictures around 1130 on facebook and it was straight up madness.

DH turned on his work radio (I was surprised we picked up reception!) and it sounded like shear madness.  We were going to go down there - but DH was afraid he'd get put to work lol.

  • I went!! I was seriously debating it since DH was already asleep. My parents are here, and my mom was in bed, but my Dad was watching the news with me. We are in SE DC, and only about 15 min away (no traffic)... so I finally said screw it, I'm going, even if it's by myself :) I woke up DH to tell him I was going, and just went, and it was so fun! The energy was so happy, and it was seriously like 90% college students. Felt a little like my MSU days when we won the national basketball championship two years on a row and everyone rushed the street (except on a much happier, larger scale) ;)

Here's the slideshow (forgive the graininess and the blurriness... my adrenaline was a little pumped)

  • Those pictures are amazing.  DH woke me up last night to tell me the news - he saw it first on Facebook and then on TV.  I remember going to the White House post 9/11 (it wasn't on the 11th, 12th or 13th maybe) for a candlelight vigil.  Only when we moved into our new house last year did I get rid of the candle I used that night.
